Artist of the day: Jeanine Oxenius

 

Jeanine Oxenius stammt aus Deutschland und ist 1984 im wunderschönen Neuseeland angekommen und - geblieben... Ursprünglich als Schmuckdesignerin tätig, startete Jeanine Oxenius 2005 die Malerei als eine Art der Entspannung und des Ausgleichs. Hochbegabt wie sie ist, hatte sie bereits im September 2005 eine erfolgreiche erste Ausstellung in Whangarei, Neuseeland und führte bereits 2006 ihre Debutshow in Auckland, Neuseeland durch. 2008 verließ Jeanine Oxenius ihren ursprünglichen Wohnsitz in Auckland und zog bis 2012 nach Whangarei Heads mit seiner unglaublich schönen Landschaft und absolvierte dort einen dreijährigen Kurs in angewandter Kunst, welchen sie mit ausgezeichnetem Erfolg abschloß. Jeanine Oxenius ist keine Einzelkünstlerin im eigentlichen Sinne, sie nimmt an so vielen Gruppenausstellung teil als möglich und ist Initiatorin und Kuratorin von unzähligen Projekten und Gruppenausstellungen in Neuseeland. Unabhängig davon hat sie jedoch seit 2007 laufend Ausstellungen in Europa und mindestens eine Soloausstellung in Neuseeland. Busy Artist!

"People are funny creatures. They`re forever on the lookout for somethg. better. I`m not immune to this, but living in paradise and on the edge of the world it makes it a bit difficult to look over the fence to see if the grass is greener on the other side. So instead of looking over the fence I made it my business to look beyond!"
